Hi list,
In a discussion involving the steps done by oracle to do Instance recovery, with "on disk scn" , two other terms also came up-"low cache rba" and "on disk rba" . These can be seen in the control file dump under the Checkpoint Progress record. After doing some Google search, very few results came up and the answer given was "low cache rba is the the CKPT record of DBWR write the progress on disk rba LGWR write progress." ( http://guojuanjun.blog.51cto.com/277646/346545)

Does any one know exactly what these two terms mean and are used for?

Thanks
