Hi all,

It was installed 2 Oracle Rac 11.2.0.1 on HP-UX - environment Prod and PreProd. The infra-structure team asked us about some differences on ASM, because they will use a tool from HP called Business Copy to refresh the PreProd env ...

I guess that tool will make an ultra-fast physical copy ... if someone has some experience on this, its welcome.

Basically, the difference are with two fields ... <Name> and <Failgroup> when we check with ASM utility. Ex:
PRD: /dev/rdisk/disk10 – the name is SIM_0002 PRE: /dev/rdisk/disk10 – the name is SIM_0000

Is there any problem on changing those fields, ... or is there any way of changing this??
My guess that won't have any problem, but perhaps someone can confirm that.

Thank you all in advance.

Alex
