Not sure *what* happened to my last email, but I'll try this again... :) I have one RAC environment being backed up by an EM12c job and to be honest, all my current clients are now on EM12c, (I'm good on the sell for EM12c, not sure why... :P) as are their RMAN backups.  I can honestly say I appreciate that any of my oncall team members can easily manage backups for the clients that I am primary on without concern about knowing my scripting style, knowing what language I prefer to script in, etc.  They can simply go out to the EM console and manage what is required.

Oracle spent a lot of time on the EM12c and I am very pleased with the RMAN backup interface.  It is easy to set up, schedule backups and manage them post. I'd highly recommend you look into it.

I'm currently using 11g Grid Control for scheduling backups and it works just fine for me.

Only done testing with 12c Cloud Control, not production, but I had no problems with that also.

Cheers
