Large Pages and AMD processors

Reviewing note 422844.1 about setting up large pages on Windows 2003 X64. We are running 11.1.0.7 with patch 25. Under known issues number 3, it states you "may" have to disable NUMA. Note the word "may". So may I to disable NUMA or just if I have problems. We have been on these servers for a couple years with no issues, just that now looking at enabling large pages.
