Hello Chris,
If controlfile autobackup is on, it might not give the 'correct' information that you are looking for.
You can use controlfile_included column in rc_backup_set_details to crosscheck.

btw: 'Restore database preview' provides detailed information about backupsets needed for restore to a point in time.
