On Exadata machines I have used DBFS to store trail and checkpoint files so that they are visible across all compute nodes This is documented below

Subject: CFS for Golden Gate on RAC
Hi All,
I am trying to install Golden Gate on RAC. The documentation mentioned to
install GG on shared storage on all nodes.
can anybody give their experiences in using OCFS2 or ACFS for Golden gate
binaries and files?
which one is good(recommended) for oracle RAC ? (source is sql server 2005
cluster : destination is oracle RAC 11.2.0.3 on RHEL 5.8).
Thanks in advance.
Krishna
