For applying template, go to Setup==> Monitoring template ==> pick the respective template and click 'Apply' ==> Select the target and apply.

For email alerts, go to preference ==> Notification Rules ==> Create rule with correct metrics and check the email box. Pls note you should have already configured your mail server info under Setup ==> Notification Methods.

1)I have created monitoring template -TEST_DB_PERORMANCE (with Buffer cache hit ratio warning(80%) and critical as 70%) for the database instance target.

2) i need to apply this template to specific target(testdb01) and alerts need to generated.

Can you please What are the steps need to be done to apply the template to specific target and for email alert?
