I select service_name instead of SID within sql developer.

Service_name is ORCL

The below is from
/u01/base/diag/tnslsnr/test1/listener_test1/trace/listener_test1.log

19-MAR-2012 16:18:07 * (CONNECT_DATA=(CID=(PROGRAM=SQL Developer)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=cure))(SERVICE_NAME=ORCL)(CID=(PROGRAM=SQL Developer)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=cure))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=192.168.1.135)(PORT=52236)) * establish * ORCL * 0
19-MAR-2012 16:18:07 * (CONNECT_DATA=(CID=(PROGRAM=SQL Developer)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=cure))(SERVICE_NAME=ORCL)(CID=(PROGRAM=SQL Developer)(HOST=__jdbc__)(USER=cure))) * (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=192.168.1.135)(PORT=52237)) * establish * ORCL * 0

what did you use as SID, what as SERVICE_NAME? there should be proper entries in the alert.log files for ANY conneciton attempt. can you post these, also?
