I am guessing that unless a complicated set of solution some remote
(rsh/ssh) commands are put in place, I too believe this is not possible
.
But then what is the rationale for doing so. What is the driver for requesting a solution like this where an easier solution can easily be put in place

I think it's not possible, unless the file is made available via nfs or so.
I think so because afaik you can't supply a data-input-file to sqlldr with some sort of network identifier. So to sqlldr the file data-input-file should exist on the same machine where sqlldr exists.
(With nfs you can make that happen)

Is it a possibility to scp the data to the server? Then your script can handle everything locally on the server.
