Tried that and got following errors. It is a non-RAC server. It used to work fine with 11.2.0.2 version.

$ srvctl add database -d ORCL -o /usr3/apl/oracle/product/11.1.0/db -a DISKGROUP1
PRKO-2002 : Invalid command line option: -a $ srvctl add database -d ORCL -o /usr3/apl/oracle/product/11.1.0/db PROC-32: Cluster Ready Services on the local node is not running Messaging error [9]
