What channels are actually needed/useful for OEL 5 update 7 UEK (x86_64)? I am building an OEL 5u7 x86_64 system now and have ULN support for the first time. It will use asm, amsmlib and *perhaps* OCFS2.

The doc (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/linux/yum-repository-setup-085606.html) says these two are required for Oracle Linux 5 x86_64:

Oracle Linux 5 Latest (x86_64) - ol5_x86_64_latest Enterprise Linux 5 Add ons (x86_64) - el5_x86_64_addons

I have added only one:
Oracle Linux Update 7 Patch (x86_64) - ol5_u7_x86_64_patch

But there others that *appear* to perhaps appropriate also - and, of course, the ULN site has such useful descriptions. For example, the description of channel name "Oracle Software for Enterprise Linux 5 (x86_64)" is "Oracle Software for Enterprise Linux 5 (x86_64)". [Who would have guessed!]

Is there a secret decoder ring somewhere that tells you what all these channels are really all about?

Thanks in advance for any help, pointers, etc. Don Granaman
