Hi folks,
Our other DBA is off sick and I've been tasked with managing streams. It's all new to me - never took any course on it - and I have to learn using hands-on. If I'm not mistaken, the CAPTURE process mines the redo logs and queues a message to the ODS database. The APPLY process picks up the message and acts on the contents. What I'm trying to determine is how often the CAPTURE process mines the redo logs and is this configurable. The same applies to the APPLY process - how often does it look for messages? Were on a 4 node RAC 11gr1, source DB is 11gr1 and the ODS database is 10g. Both ODS and source DB are on Oracle Linux 4.6.
