Are there plans to support further versions/flavours of Linux x86-64 ? We're currently running both SLES10 and SLES11 (both supported for EM GC 11 agents) but EM 12c currently only supports SLES11 so upgrading is not an option at this point ...

One more thing - there is a MOS note on this that says it's published external so you should be able to see it - 793512.1, Release Schedule of Current Enterprise Manager Releases and Patch Sets.

Took me longer to get back online than I thought, but basically if you login to MOS and click on the certification tab, enter a product of Enterprise Manager Base Platform - OMS, a release of 12.1.0.1.0 and you'll see the OMS is currently supported on Linux x86 and Linux x86-64. Obviously I can't comment on expected release dates, so you'll just need to keep an eye on the certification search.

Are you talking about the repository or agents? There is a MOS note that highlights what's available, but I'm literally on my way out the door to the next stage of the Australian launch so I don't have time to find the number for you now. Let me know if you can't find it and when I'm back online I'll chase it down for you.

Part of the 12c upgrade.

As for migrating to 11g, I simply can't recall that now - those brain cells are long gone. However, if the upgrade path was a single repository then it should definitely have kept your history. If not then I think you were on your own.

Of course, the obvious answer is to can your upgrade to 11g project and so straight to 12c. ;)

That's doable from the latest 10g release (10.2.0.5) or directly from 11g of course.

Sync'ing the history - is that a 12c feature or is that available in 11g as well? I am in the process of upgrading a Production Grid environment from 10.2 to 11.2. Preserving the history would be great.

Sorry, at the Australian 12c launch, so I just saw this. If you were doing a one system upgrade, you will be upgrading your existing repository, so that keeps everything you had. If you are doing a two system upgrade, you clone the existing repository, leaving the old version with pre-12c agents pointing to it. You can then gradually install 12c agents pointing to the new repository. That means you have both running, pre-12c and 12c, each with its own agents. As you move the pre-12c agents, you can sync the history as part of the move to the 12c repository. Pete
