Sometimes, I swear Oracle kills me. I don't curse often, but GC seems to make it a habit! LOL For the HOSTS file, do you mean on the GC server itself I assume? Thanks,

Been there done that...... For us the solution was to CLOSE the download window. This allowed the installer to continue. Be sure to add the OMS servers fully qualified name to the HOST file even if using DNS. That fixed a problem for us that Oracle had been working on for a good week.

So, I'm running the Grid Control 11gR1 installer on Windows 2008 32-bit (not certified on 64-bit) and I've configured the Proxy settings and it says successful. I try to download the patches as part of the install and it looks like it downloads the patches (the download status goes to 100%) but then the installer just sits there spinning.
Has anyone gotten the auto download/install updates to work on GC 11gR1 Installer on Windows when using a proxy server?
If so, I'd be interested in hearing how you accomplished this....
