Has the database been bounced since the TZ change?

Subject: Timestamp used for messages in alert log after machine timezone change
Hi,
We changed the timezone of a machine to Chinese Central time, but the
alert log timestamps are still US EST/EDT, the original timezone.
If this is controlled by the NLS settings according to
NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS, then I believe that these settings cannot be
altered, but is there a way to change the timestamp used in the alert
log?
Thanks
Pete
