OT: Lowering a tasks priority on Windows

Our installation of Grid Control is progressing very slowly due to the JAVAW.exe process from the OUI consuming 80-90% of the cpu. Anybody know if there would be any negative effects of right clicking the process and then setting its priority to "low".
