 Oracle has announced a validated configurations project.  You can reference it here : Published Validated Configurations<http://linux.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=102:1:2754398397581873:pg_R_27262430945134281:NO&pg_min_row=41&pg_max_rows=20&pg_rows_fetched=20>  Oracle Linux 5 Update 5 has been validated with 11g release 2 ,actually 11.2.0.1 .
