It looks like an OCP question doesn't it? So, without knowing anything about the topic, let us apply basic test-taking skills.

Since 3 of the answers involve sample size, we can safely assume that B and E are red herrings. Since D is a more specific subvariation of A, it is likely wrong. (Otherwise, A and D would both be "correct".) That leaves only A and C. Here I have to cheat and apply some actual Oracle/OCP logic. When in doubt, the defaults are always best. Right? (Remember the PCTINCREASE default of 50 for a few decades? ;-)

C. is my answer/guess.

Without looking in the docs, answer this question:

When collecting Oracle statistics in 11.2.0.2 (generally, there are always fringe cases) you should:

  1. Manually set the sample size and not take the default.
  2. Use the analyze command.
  3. Use the default value for the sample size.
  4. Use a sample size between 10 and 20.
  5. Set the _optimizer_stats_modify parameter first to a value of 60.

What is your answer and why?
