Semi-OT: Job Descriptions

So, how many of you guys have been told that your job description/job title is changing and then instructed review the job description and make changes as necessary?

I understand that roles evolve and job descriptions evolve, but I think this is the first time I've been tasked to come up with my own job description. Strikes me as exceptionally odd.
