google "facebook slow". there are significant numbers of people complaining. They probably have servers all over the world. so slowness could be from time to time or localized.

i saw a post somewhere they are having alot of problems with their facebook applications and the integration back to your home page. alot of it is games. since this is where people spend money, this could be a bigger concern. I also read somewhere that facebook is getting ready to roll out alot of new features. they may be concerned about these also.
