it would be something like the following:

delete archivelog until time 'sysdate - 7' backed up 1 times to device type disk; [or "device type sbt" in case of tape]

I want to combine the functions of deleting archive logs based on date AND that they have been backed up already. Is this possible ?

For instance this will delete all the archive logs backed up (regulated by rman archive log deletion policy)

Run {
backup as compressed backupset
archivelog all
delete all input;
}

This would delete archive logs-

delete archivelog all completed before 'sysdate -7';

What I am looking for is deleting them based on date, and that they have been backed up.
