That's normal behavior in at least two circumstances I can think of:

That's normal behavior in at least two circumstances I can think of:
- He has a "set until" clause that is specifying a time/scn/sequence before the more recent backup
- The more recent backup is unavailable for some reason, possibly:
- It didn't complete successfully
- It has been deleted in RMAN
- It has been marked "unavailable" in RMAN
- It has been deleted in the media manager (netbackup?)
