Solaris 5.10, 11.2.0.1:

For what it is worth, they had me set:
optimizer_features_enable=10.2.0.1

However, I also had a lot of bad magic number messages appear in alert log.

I have not applied the patch yet.

The code fix for bug 8730312 will be incorporated into the 11.2.0.2 patch set. 11.2.0.1 patch set release on Solaris needs a one-off patch to be applied after that patch set is installed or needs a one-off patch on top of a 11.2.0.1 PSU for PSU #1 and PSU #2.

• The "kewastUnPackStats(): bad magic 1 ..." messages are expected to be raised when an improper encoding of ASH data is detected. -- However, the detection method used by the 11.2.0.1 release is flawed and can give false positive results. -- Bug 8730312 is the code fix for that flawed detection mechanism.

Hi Maureen, if your ORA-00600 [pevm_INSTC2] happens in plsql code that passes REF cursor parameters up multiple levels of the PL/SQL stack then what you see might be a revival of bug 6068126.

Hi,

Our 11g upgrade seemed to go pretty well, until we started getting an overwhelming number of trace files with ORA-00600 and ORA-07445 messages.

These trace files all seem to be related to our self service web application,
but we're unable to find any helpful information and so far, Oracle Support is
still at the information gathering stage.

Here's an example of the messages...any ideas/suggestions regarding what's going on would be most appreciated!
