You also need the additional license on all databases in the dataguard setup. It really is an extraordinarily expensive option

Hi,

My bad I was typing faster then I was thinking. I should wrote Active Data Guard need additional license not Real Time Apply,
and of course database in Active Data Guard open but in read only mode
