I dont think you can stop the archivelog since the nature of Dataguard is that logs/redo is shipped from primary.
you can write a cront job that does delete archivelog all at certain intervals

I have a physical dataguard database on a development system in noarchivelog mode. The archive log directory keeps filling up. Since it is development, I do not need to keep the archive logs. They are already backed up on the production database. How do I get the dataguard database to stop archiving?
