dropping indexes

Hello,
I have two indentical partitioned tables. The volume of data is the same in both tables and the indexes are identical as well. When I drop the indexes (all of them) on the tables, one of the tables takes less than 5 minutes to do so (about 30 indexes). The other table would take about 20 minutes to do so.
Can anyone help explain this or point me in the right direction to figure out what is going on?
