oracle on Linux/Nehalem: start to see run queue>10 when cpu usage lower than 50%

   We are testing HP DL380 G7 with Redhat Linux 5.4, load it with lots of very small SQL (through a jdbc client with 50~100~200 session) continuesly issue SQL to database server; It is 2 socket/12 core system with 72gb memory; there are still tons of free emmory there;

   It is little bit interesting; We haven't used Linux on database server here, my last linux running oracle was 8 years ago with very early deployment of oracle rac on linux:).

  Does anyelse have similar experience? Any tuning needed from linux? We tested both dedicated server and shared server and see similar result; But if we continue to add more clients onto the server, the througput put will continue increase; I checked oracle hidden parameter and NUMA was not enabled; (_db_block_numa=1);
  There was nearly no disk IO(all in memory test, close to our real application running on that db);
