Morning Carol,

I've been trying for the last three days to get a working download of Oracle Linux and Oracle VM. So far, no joy. In the end, I gave up and logged an SR to have the DVDs sent to me. Mind you, that was yesterday and so far, I've not had any acknowledgement of the SR even being raised.

Using Firebird or Opera the downloads get progressively slower and slower (from 1.5 Mb/s down to about 200 Kb/s) and I don't even have throttling on my account. Then, at various points in the download, Firebird (3.6) just hangs. Opera just stopped. When I finally managed to get a full download, it was corrupted.

Downloading the 11.2 DVD for OpenSuse, on the other hand, flew through and was not corrupted in any way shape or form.

I did manage to get a "wget --continue" session to sort of work, by stealing the URL from the session running in Opera, but as soon as I stopped the same download via the browser, the wget bailed out with a message that I was "no longer authori[sz]ed"!

Hopefully, the DVDs will arrive soon.

Good luck.

Cheers,
Norman.
