Well, technically the Oracle DB under a SAP application is to be managed by basis using the sapdba or brtools crap. This means that somehow, somewhere SAP has sys privileges on the database. THAT is invasive.

granted, the oracle db under sap can ONLY be used for SAP.... so perhaps this is not an issue (?)
