All,
I have a 15 TB ODS – Operation Data Store. It is not a warehouse and the store is updated in real time from various OLTP's. All schemas are write intensive. Tables hold 5 million to 600 mullion rows of dat.
DB runs on a 4 node 10G-R2 RAC.
What is the best and fastest way to backup this database? Speed / Time consumed would be a critical factor.
We have always used RMAN – Level 0 backup runs for 20 – 22 hours.
