I am using the rotatelog function via Linux and it works.

I have looked and the doc  Rich mentioned as well as others

I can't shutdown the services to rotate the logs.

I have tried the CustomLog as well

CustomLog is for the Acces_log and Errorlog works for the error_log

the issue is with trying to get the rotation to occur at midnight.

Thanks.

Hey Kathy,

My kneejerk would be to use the CustomLog directive instead of ErrorLog as noted here: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/programs/rotatelogs.html

As always, test first!  GL!
