I use RMAN to disk, avamar to disk, NBU to tape.

Anybody use Avamar from EMC to directly back up their databases? Just found out I have to meet with them this afternoon. Our network / sys admin group is pushing this thing.

Any feedback would help me - either resist or embrace it.
