Hi Avadhani
I think this is a stable combination and we used it successfully with not many issues till we migrated to linux. From your mail, I am not sure if you have an existing application already runnning or it is a new implementation. If it is a new implementation you have more alternatives - shared tech stack/appl top, separation of db tier vs app tier, possibly use linux instead of solaris as middle tier, apps load balancing etc. I think the only issue we had when Solaris was upgraded was the with version of gcc and native plsql compilation had issues. But our unix sysadmin put the expected version of gcc and this was fine. This is probably a site specific issue and not neccesarily a solaris 10 issue. Hope this helps
