Its a shame you want to change a string value because you can change other types using

dbms_session.set_bool_param_in_session and dbms_session.set_int_param_in_session

Not much help I know, but may be worth knowing in the future.

Cheers,

Ian

Hi folks,

is there any way to change the parameters of an other users session? I want to change the parameter curser_sharing without interrupting the other sessions jobs.
(Some kind of third-party import-tool )

Any input is appreciated.

regards,
Jan-Hendrik
