Hi Pradeep - that Netra sounds like a pretty old piece of kit, even if it is still being sold (just). My last place had some ~10 yr old ones kicking around that couldn't be decomm'd.
The x4450 seems reasonable, I know Greenplum uses them for their basic nodes. But of course it won't be running Sparc Solaris if compatibility with other tools is an issue. Oracle x86 solaris releases are not exactly first tier releases either, tho if you plan to run windows, or linux the release situation is better.
How about a nice CMT server instead ? T5140 or similar.. good if you're not running single-threaded work..
Also depends on your definition of performance - number crunching, lots of users, good multi-threaded performance etc...? Perhaps your Sun rep should be helping you out, over a nice lunch or something ;)
