As Mark and others commented, you need to balance cost and benefit or prevention of the risk. If you have a technical risk assessment statistician, he may help.

I want to add that if the DBAs in your company are constantly busy doing real work, it's not worth it. If DBAs have plenty of free time, this can naturally float to the top of the priority list. Then go for it.
