As a Room Monitor I know that the number of attendees for a session is limited by the room size. They typically do not allow people to stand for fire hazard reasons.

If the session is being given by a popluar speaker (eg. Tom Kyte) you should get there early to get a seat, otherwise you may be disappointed when you are turned away!

I agree with everyone's suggestions to network, meet as many people as you can. I have made many good friends over the years at Collaborate and IOUG as well.

Semi-OT: IOUG Collaborate Tips? Suggestions?

Ok, so this is my first time attending the Collaborate, and I'm curious what things I can do to make the most out of it?  I've signed up for the education sessions (of course), and I saw the newsletter that IOUG sent out about the events. (Open Mic etc...)  I'm just curious if anyone has any suggestions, or activities they would suggest?  Thanks
