Incomplete Oracle version, no attempt to do even a simple MetaLink search?

You can do better.

Here's a hint:

Login to MetaLink, go to the search window, and type 'root.sh OCR error 4', and click the search button.

If you're running 10.2.0.1, the answer will be in the first search result.
