Rollbacks after Database/Application upgrade failure -> Is Flashback the only game in town or are there other alternatives?

Hi,

If you are doing an application uprade, sometimes you may have to rollback due to multiple reasons.

If you have limited window to finish the whole thing end to end, you want to minimize time for roolback, since that also is part of the maintenance upgrade window.

What do folks use? Oracle Flashback is great but it forces you to use Enterprise Edition where the licenses are expensive.

Are there tools that folks use on Oracle Standard Edition.
