I do not believe you have to purchase the database license. But there is a license for Oracle Programmatic interfaces of which PRO*Fortran is a part. BTW: Make sure you have a full fledged FORTRAN compiler else it won't work.

Subject: Pro-Fortran oracle
I have been tasked to replicate an alpha server with openvms on to a I64 integrity. I need to acquire pro*fortran to install on the integrity server. Do I need to buy the full enterprise oracle in order to get it?
TIA, ZK
