Build a new standby controlfile from the production database.

From production.
alter database create standby controlfile as 'xxxx'; I use standby.ctl for xxxx.

Shutdown your standby database.
Copy standby.ctl from production to appropriate control file locations on your standby. Restart your standby database.

We lost the controlfile from a standby its not THAT important but whats the simplest way to rebuild it? We can backup the primary control file to trace;
