I've only linked DBD with the full client, never the instant client, AFAIK. Perl is very sensitive to Oracle release level changes and always requires re-linking. I will rely on someone more knowledgeable about Perl's relationship to the OS for valid information. it, too, is very OS dependent.

Subject: DBD:Oracle Perl Module
Has anyone worked with the DBD:Oracle Perl module? If so, can you link this into the regular Oracle client or does it have to use the Oracle Instant client? Also, any good links to websites that can help me work with this will be greatly appreciated.
