Try the SSWUG lists over at sswug.org ... very good, and usually as busy as oracle-l.

Weirdly, they separate their lists by versions, so you'll see sql2k_at_sswug.org , sql2k5_at_sswug.org and sql2k8_at_sswug.org. Also, don't be duped into "buying" any articles from their website ... they're almost all just links to freely available material anyway.
