I have a customer who has several thousand Oracle instances replicating their data LUNs synchronously over SAN replication for DR purposes, and when I worked for EMC, that was one of my specialty areas. It works great, you just need to understand how it works.

Thanks,
Matt

Subject: Anyone replicating LIVE Oracle LUNs at the SAN layer?

Just curious if anyone is using "Live" (SAN provided) replication of Oracle LUNS to a remote site - or have tried it?
