It's been a while since he's had to be called in, and one of the current App teams had an issue.

Did they call him? No, they called me.

Why? "Because we haven't worked with him"

Grrrrr...

Never mind that the entire ops team knows him.

Lesson learned.

Invited him and the apps team to a meeting last week for an intro.

As I am going on vacation next week, let's hope it works.

"Oh look, I dropped my cell phone in the creek!" ;)
