John,

Can you clarify what type of fragmentation you think the database was experiencing. There are several varieties of fragmentation (block, table, tablespace, etc.) and until we have established a common understanding, it is easy for some people to offer suggestions which don't apply to your situation. When you asked about LMT, that implied that you thought you were experiencing tablespace fragmentation. When you did exp/imp, did you clear or rebuild the tablespace?
