Open an SR w/ Oracle, explain the problem, and ask about event 10298. DO NOT set event 10298 on your own, without guidance from Oracle support.

Subject: NFS Mount and DataPump

Hi Listers,

I have issues with datapump on my RAC with NFS Mount points. The Datapump job simply hangs. It won't even write anything to the log file or dump file. Have any of you faced this?

RAC on Unbreakable Linux release 4. 10.2.03 Database. NFS was originally soft mounted. But on suggestions from support, we changed to hot mount. The FILESYSTEMIO_OPTIONS is ste to DIRECTIO.

Any suggestions/work around?

TIA,
Shiva
