Sec_case_sensitive_log is set to true on both nodes

How annoying metalink can be

Searching all sources for ORA-01017 or 16191 (both in the title of that bug) does not bring it up

The bug details itself is not public but the title seems to confirm that it that bug is likely to be related to my problem although in my case it is set to true already

. ORA-01017 (16191) LOGGING ONTO STANDBY WHEN SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON=FALSE

This is probably bug 6804839,
what is your sec_case_sensitive_logon set to? try setting it to true.

Well thats interesting since I knew mixed case passwords are allowed in 11g, although I've not had a chance to test it yet. Sounds like to me someone missed a (upper) function in the source code somewhere.
