Tom,
Check MetaLink for lots of references, but, yes, you must disable SELinux before installing Oracle.
Start w/ these two MetaLink notes: Doc. ID 438766.1 and Doc ID 454196.1.

Subject: RedHat, Oracle 11 and OCR
For those of you with RedHat and RAC (Oracle 11g), I am trying to determine if SELinux must be disabled. We are using GFS for our CFS and not OCFS2. So far the install is not working and we want to turn SELinux off but our security people are complaining about it.
Has everyone else turned SELinux off or left it on?
Thanks,
Tom
