- Do you use ASM? Yes
- Which OS used it on AIX, SOLARIS, LINUX, Windows
- Do you use ASM for a single instance? No, mostly because our clients who use single instances don't have a backup client capable of working with rman.
- Have you ever performed the migration? non-ASM to ASM? Yes
- Which redundancy option have you used? External and Normal, but mostly external
- Do you think the Oracle document about ASM is sufficient enough? Sufficient
- Do you think a seaprate ASM administratore is required to manage ASM instance? No
- Do you think ASM is very much stable? Yes, most of the time. But you should have a look at http://geertdepaep.wordpress.com/2008/03/05/warning-asm-and-large-amount-of-files-on-solaris/
- Do you recommend ASM? Yes
- Do you think managing ASM is very easy? Yes
